Robert Griffin III Honors His High School with New Cleat & Trainer
Robert Griffin III made a guest appearance at the 2014 Texas 7-on-7 Championships in College Station, where 125 of the top high school football teams in Texas are competing for the title of best in the Lone Star State.
Copperas Cove High School is among the teams competing this year and to celebrate his alma mater, the Washington quarterback unveiled the newest colorway of his signature cleat and trainer in the school’s blue and yellow colors.
RG3’s signature cleat was designed and built to the quarterback's specifications to enhance his unique style of play and his ability to fuse performance and style. A lightweight 5/8 speed-mid cut provides support without extra bulkiness and weight, while a full-length internal adidas TECHFIT liner wraps the foot with a sock-like fit, locking it in place over the top of the plate for quick changes of direction. The engineered lightweight upper featuring QUICKWEB technology provides zoned, lightweight support, and the QUICKFRAME plate gives Griffin III the traction to stop on a dime and make quick changes of direction.
RG3’s signature trainer features full length Boost, adidas’ revolutionary energy-returning cushioning technology, along with a SPRINTWEB upper for maximum comfort, support and breathability. The TORSION SYSTEM, which allows independent movement of fore and rear foot, is fully integrated into the SPRINTFRAME platform. The dynamic fit panels for lockdown work with the seamless strap and the full-length booties offer the ultimate in comfort.
