PUMA releases its second collection of footwear under the creative direction of Solange. Building off of the success of the Girls of Blaze collection which launched in February, Solange has enlisted the original designers to re-interpret PUMA's seasonal themes of "Wild Rebel" and "Natural Calm." The first drop from the collection entitled Wild Wonders featuring three styles will release on November 28th and the second, Behind the Bazaar featuring two styles will release on December 13, just in time for the Holiday season.
This collection is centered around two iconic styles for PUMA, the classic PUMA Suede and the XT2, which is a much loved favorite from the Trinomic Family. Each designer approached these silhouettes in their own way and brought in graphics, a mix of materials and colors or natural fabrics to create these soon to be favorites.
PUMA’s classic R698 silhouette has been paired with the advanced technology of the infamous Trinomic in the launch of the winter inspired R698 Snow Splatter Pack.
A textured nylon upper and premium nubuck overlays combine the performance of the R698 and the hexagonal system of the Trinomic. Three color ways push this pack into winter along with a distinctive speckled heel and heavy tumbled leather that are essential for the upcoming cold months. Will be available in stores November 28th.

adidas and the NBA today unveiled the uniforms that all 10 teams will wear for the 2014 NBA Christmas Day games. The uniforms, designed as part of the adidas NBA Holiday Collection, feature traditional tank-top style jerseys that showcase each team’s primary or secondary logo on the front. Continuing with the tradition of introducing new and unique jersey elements, this year’s uniforms will include each player’s first name on the back of the jerseys as a nod to their familiarity and popularity with the NBA fan base around the world.
adidas unveiled the next two colorways of the D Rose 5 Boost signature basketball shoe. The D Rose 5 Boost is the first basketball shoe to offer full length Boost cushioning technology designed for heightened energy return and step-in comfort to ensure maximum performance. Inspired by Rose’s home city of Chicago and its importance to his upbringing, the “Chicago Ice” D Rose 5 Boost features a classic black mesh SPRINT WEB upper for enhanced breathability and comfort. The upper is highlighted by an embossed satellite print of Chicago which was originally introduced on the D Rose 2.5. Contrasting white details and an ice blue outsole reflect Chicago’s notably frigid winters.
The early 20th century saw African-American workers move north to seek work and they brought with them the classic blues music style. As they settled in Chicago, many honed their musical craft, which evolved into Chicago style or urban blues and became one of the biggest influences on modern music. The “Woven Blues” D Rose 5 colorway is inspired by that movement and features a unique basket weave styled upper in a deep navy blue. It’s accented by a bright orange lining and white D Rose logo on the back of the shoe. adidas and the NBA today unveiled an all-new collection of on-court apparel for the 2014-15 season. The official adidas NBA On-Court Collection will outfit all 30 teams and feature enhanced warm-up gear for innovative performance and on-trend style that appeals to athletes in the game and fans across the globe.
Two new items will make their way into the adidas NBA On-Court Collection including a short-sleeve, quarter-zip shooting shirt and a hooded long-sleeve shooting shirt. Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany won the 44th New York City Marathon wearing the adizero Adios Boost 2 with a time of 2:10:59 for Kipsang and 2:25:07 for Keitany. Their wins mark the 21st and 22nd major race victories for runners wearing the adidas adizero Adios Boost including the marathon world record set in Berlin earlier this year.
Kipsang made a memorable NYC marathon debut with the victory, which follows his London marathon win earlier this year and his eighth overall. For Keitany, this marks her third marathon victory and first in New York following a third place finish in 2011. As she triumphantly crossed the finish line, Keitany showed her A Game as part of adidas’ #mystepmatters social media fund raising support for AKTIV Against Cancer.
