Cam Newton goes to Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers selected Auburn quarterback Cam Newton with the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft Thursday night, gambling the Heisman Trophy winner will overcome questions about his character and work ethic to become the team's first franchise quarterback.
After going 2-14 last season with the NFL's worst offense, the Panthers bypassed safer choices such as Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson and Georgia receiver A.J. Green for Newton, who dazzled in his only season playing major college football.

Audi To Sell Wood-Framed Bicycle
Audi has unveiled its new ‘Duo’ hardwood bike – a collaborative creation between Renovo Hardwood Bicycles and the German premium brand. Renovo is the only all-hardwood bike maker and Audi has commissioned from them a bicycle that will be representative of its luxury and performance brand values. Renovo’s bicycles are designed to offer the smoothest ride of any bike frame material as wood absorbs shock and vibration better than metal or carbon fiber. Additionally, the weight per cubic inch of wood is about a quarter the weight of aluminum, making the duo lighter than most bicycle frames, while still offering equal or superior stiffness, durability and toughness. All of the bicycles get Audi’s four-ring logo, and the hardwoods making up the frames were chosen for a specific Audi color scheme.
Audi Duo will comprise three bikes: commuter, hybrid and road.
The bicycles are priced at $6,530 for the Duo City, $7,350 for the Duo Sport, and $7,460 for the Duo Road. The bikes will be for sale on the Audi Collection website.

Saucony "What is Strong?" Commercial
The Saucony concept of "Strong" is unique and somewhat intangible. It’s a sense of what the human soul is it’s the runner, but also the environments explored. It’s more who you are than what you do. In essence, the struggle is what reveals "Strong," and those human experiences are what Saucony set out to distill and showcase in its first-ever television spot. Enjoy!

"Oprah" Nike LunarGlide 2
Phil Knight appeared on Oprah yesterday, discussing the history of the world’s most influential athletic company, and as usual Oprah’s audience (and Oprah herself) left with a special gift. Phil presented Oprah and her audience with the special “Oprah” Nike LunarGlide 2, which features a grey/volt colorway, “Knight” and “Winfrey” inscribed on both shoes and an image of Oprah’s favorite tree in the sole. The shoe, which will not see a public release, also came in a special edition box made from a gymnasium floor; inside the box reads Phil’s favorite Oprah quote: “I still have my feet on the ground. I just wear better shoes.”

Jordan Spizike - Spike Lee PE
When you’re Spike Lee, you can pretty much do anything you want, and that includes choosing between two Jordan Spizike Knicks colorways that no one else has ever seen. Spike unveiled these on Twitter today, asking for input on which to wear to tonight’s game. He refers to them as “customs,” although he also gives a big “thank you” to Michael Jordan for hooking him up, so it’s anyone’s guess whether these will ever hit stores.

iPhone Telephoto Lens
You have an iPhone and want to take close up pictures at a baseball or basketball game, well here is your chance with the iPhone Telephoto Lens. This little (big) lens gives our humble cell phone shots uber-telephoto powers (8x the powers to be exact). Powers we never thought possible with our dinky built-in lens. Here's how it works: each lens comes with a sleek, matte black iPhone case that you twist the lens onto. To compose your shot just twist the grip on the lens' manual focus ring to make it sharp. Then snap! When you aren't using the lens you can just leave your nifty new case on and slip the lens in your pocket (try that with a 500mm Sigma). It's a lens and case in one, always at the ready. If you're looking for a more composed shot, you can use the collapsible table tripod (included) to steady and focus your photos. It'll come super handy when you're shooting in low-light. Each telephoto lens comes with a phone case, a mini-tripod and a cleaning cloth.

Leszek Blankik a Super Tumbler
In his first tumbling run, Blanik performs a front flip off of the springboard, followed by a whipback (a no-handed backhandspring), back handspring, triple twist, whipback, back handspring, triple twist. He follows that up with a round-off right into a double layout, whipback, back handspring double layout, whipback, whipback, double back with a full twist. Phew. That sort of difficulty is unheard of.

The LeBrons - Episode 2: Stay on the Court
Last week saw the debut of “The LeBrons,” the kid-friendly, moral-teach web show featuring the four personalities of LeBron. And now only a few days later we already get our look at the second episode, Stay on the Court. The production value of these is actually insanely high for a web show (it’s got Wesley Jonathan in it!), so probably well worth a watch if you have some kids running around or you just like LeBron.
