Puma House Tokyo by Nendo
Designed by creative studio Nendo in Tokyo’s Aoyama district, the new Puma House combines an event space and a press room into one open area. Using staircases as a main architectural theme throughout, the multipurpose area will be used for exhibitions, fittings, product launches and other media events. Mirroring Puma’s relationship to sports and athletics, the space provides a sense of movement, reminding us of the constant need for exercise, and enables a three-dimensional product display that fully uses its environment.

iCade Arcade Cabinet for iPad
ThinkGeek actually partnered with both manufacturer ION and game developer Atari to bring the iCade to retro gaming fans. Atari, the old school arcade games company, is currently porting a large amount of its classic arcade titles to the device, and the first game to be launched will be the legendary Asteroids.
Non-Atari games should also be available soon, as the iCade offers a programming interface to allow third party developers to build their own iCade-compatible games.

China plans Ping-Pong Hotel
Sports fans are well catered for by a new hotel design which popped up in China this month — shaped like a ping-pong racket.
The wacky design, which will reportedly be built in the city of Huainan, in East China’s Anhui province, is perfectly modelled on an upside down table tennis racket and is designed to be built in a planned Olympic park.
The detail of the 150-meter design is impressive — even down to the handle at the top (designed for sightseeing) and the rounded windows of the guestrooms which resemble the rubber surface of the racquet.
