NYC Marathon Winners Kipsang + Keitany Break the Tape Wearing adidas adizero Adios Boost 2

Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany  won the 44th New York City Marathon wearing the adizero Adios Boost 2 with a time of 2:10:59 for Kipsang and 2:25:07 for Keitany. Their wins mark the 21st and 22nd major race victories for runners wearing the adidas adizero Adios Boost including the marathon world record set in Berlin earlier this year.

Kipsang made a memorable NYC marathon debut with the victory, which follows his London marathon win earlier this year and his eighth overall. For Keitany, this marks her third marathon victory and first in New York following a third place finish in 2011. As she triumphantly crossed the finish line, Keitany showed her A Game as part of adidas’ #mystepmatters social media fund raising support for AKTIV Against Cancer.

adidas Launches Yamamoto Designed Real Madrid Third Kit & adizero F50 Cleat

adidas has teamed up with award-winning Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto – the man behind the adidas Y-3 brand – to launch a new third kit and adizero F50 cleat for defending UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid.  The club’s star players including James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Marcelo, and Karim Benzema will debut the new looks in this season’s UCL action.

The striking new all-black kit aims to unify the values of Madridismo focused on its two main elements, greatness and determination.  Both elements are represented by two mythical beasts which originate from the Eastern culture and are interlaced on the front of the shirt:

Dragon king symbolizes the greatness, glory and power of the club
Dragon bird an animal that is able to relive in the most hostile situations, represents the clubs resistance, determination and agility on its way to the victory

adidas Unveils Short Sleeve Jersey for Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have unveiled plans to wear the NBA's "first modern short-sleeve jersey" for three of their remaining home games this season. adidas developed this innovative system to allow for optimal performance on the court while providing fans with a new and unique apparel option.  The Warriors, one of the most aggressive and creative teams in the NBA, were the perfect partner for the new uniforms.

In addition to being the Warriors’ lightest uniform to date, the adizero short sleeve NBA Uniform System features the first-ever super lightweight stretch woven short with maximum ventilation for player comfort. The jersey includes armhole insets with 360-degree stretch fabric that facilitates free range of motion for the arms and shoulders. adidas debuts the new adizero Sonic 3 TV commercial featuring top NFL draft prospect and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III training in the versatile and lightweight running shoe available exclusively at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

The commercial, which was partially shot at Baylor’s Floyd Casey Stadium where Griffin III set or tied more than 50 school records, looks at how the heavy weight of pressure and heat of the spotlight are shattered by what lightweight adizero shoes deliver.
