Since 2011, the idea of the Bikini Basketball League has been in the works. But after the success of the Lingerie Football League, the concept is now going to see the light of day. With teams like the Chicago Desire, Orlando LadyCats, Miami Spice, Los Angeles Ice, New York Knockouts, Hollywood Hotties and Atlanta Fleet Angels already committed to the league, things are moving nicely towards their launch in only 36 days. Each player is chosen based on skills, personality, athleticism, drive, competitiveness and of course looks.
The Bikini Basketball League will follow in the infamous footsteps of the Lingerie Football League that gained national prominence with it's Lingerie Bowl at half-time of the Super Bowl. Only time will tell if women in skimpy bikinis is just as entertaining as women in football pads.
