NYC Marathon Winners Kipsang + Keitany Break the Tape Wearing adidas adizero Adios Boost 2

Wilson Kipsang and Mary Keitany  won the 44th New York City Marathon wearing the adizero Adios Boost 2 with a time of 2:10:59 for Kipsang and 2:25:07 for Keitany. Their wins mark the 21st and 22nd major race victories for runners wearing the adidas adizero Adios Boost including the marathon world record set in Berlin earlier this year.

Kipsang made a memorable NYC marathon debut with the victory, which follows his London marathon win earlier this year and his eighth overall. For Keitany, this marks her third marathon victory and first in New York following a third place finish in 2011. As she triumphantly crossed the finish line, Keitany showed her A Game as part of adidas’ #mystepmatters social media fund raising support for AKTIV Against Cancer.

adidas Announces "Movember" Partnership with Charitable Tee Collection

adidas joins the movement to change the face of men’s health as an official partner of The Movember Foundation. The global organization is committed to generating funds and raising awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health by challenging men to grow moustaches during November.
 
adidas is unveiling a line of Movember graphic tees with $2.50 of each sale going back to the foundation. The collection is available on adidas.com/us/movember for $25 and includes localized editions for NYC, Brooklyn, LA, Chicago, D.C. and Portland. To date, the Movember Foundation has raised $559 million and more than 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide.

adidas is enlisting the support of top athletes to raise awareness for the cause. Follow C.J. Spiller, Sammy Watkins, Von Miller, Eric Berry, RG3, Vincent Jackson, Carlos Hyde, Ryan Tannehill and Jonelle Filigno, among others. Fans are invited to join as part of the adidas Stubblestars.

John Wall and adidas Unveil J Wall 1 Signature Basketball Shoe

 

adidas today unveiled the J Wall 1 signature basketball shoe and apparel collection – the first in a line of signature products designed for Washington Wizards NBA All-Star point guard, John Wall. The J Wall 1 features a sleek, bold design inspired by Wall’s quick on-court play and fashion forward off-court style.

Each piece of the collection is branded with the new John Wall logo which incorporates Wall’s initials, “JW” and is designed with the “J” crossing-over to the “W” as a nod to his quick playing style and ability to cross over defenders. The cross-over element is also representative of Wall’s off-court style and how he transitions from a fearless player on the court to a laid back, fashion forward person off the court. In addition, the “JW” within the logo pays homage to Wall’s late father, John Wall Sr., who passed away when Wall was nine years old.

The J Wall 1 launches at adidas.com and Foot Locker on October 31 for $115 in two different colorways. Additional colorways will launch throughout the NBA season. 

NBA Star Jeremy Lin Meets Fans at Culver City Foot Locker

Los Angeles Lakers guard Jeremy Lin greeted fans at Foot Locker at the Westfield Mall in Culver City to celebrate his arrival to L.A. and the opening of the adidas a Standard—an exclusive destination within select Foot Lockers offering the best of adidas’ performance and style collections.

More than 350 fans gathered to meet Jeremy, get autographs and take selfies with the new Laker. Jeremy and the Lakers surprised 75 fans that waited in line with game tickets to see him in action during one of the Lakers’ upcoming home games.
