Congrats to Terrence Fede of Nyack who was drafted to Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins continued their streak of taking a small-school player in five straight rounds of the 2014 NFL draft when they selected Marist defensive end Terrence Fede.

Fede, who is the first player to ever be drafted from Marist, likely gained scouts’ attention at his pro day, when he posted an impressive 40-yard dash time of 4.76 seconds, with a 10-yard split of 1.62.

Fede was named an FCS second team All-American after setting a single-season school record with 13 sacks in 2013 to earn Pioneer Football League Defensive Player of the Year honors and was also named to the 2013 Walter Camp FCS All-America Team.

He leaves Marist as the program’s career leader with 30.5 sacks.

Fede arrived at Marist as a two-sport star (basketball) out of Nyack, New York. After seeing action in eight games as a freshman, he sat out the 2010 season. Fede returned with avengance in 2011, earning second team All-PFL honors before really bursting onto the scene as a first team All-PFL performer with 9.0 sacks in 2012.

adidas Launches Element Refine in U.S.

adidas launched Element Refine in the U.S. for the first time.  Element Refine is a lightweight and environmentally-friendly running shoe designed with a recycled tricot woven fabric and a unique circular mesh.

Engineered for a comfortable and flexible fit , material splits minimize the amount of material required while strategic placement of the seams and 3-stripe overlay provide the support your foot needs. The upper is cut flat and lock-stitched together, wrapping around the foot for pattern efficiency and durability. Stripping back elements such as the sockliner and strobal board lowers the foot to the ground and increases stability.

Element Refine will be available on adidas.com in April and is available now for $70 at retailers nationwide including Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Champs and Foot Action.

Adidas Launches Climachill Apparel With Cooling Technology

adidas launches Climachill, a revolution in active cooling apparel technology. The line incorporates innovative fabric woven with titanium and industry-first 3D aluminium cooling spheres. The technology provides an instant chilling sensation to help athletes' performance in warm conditions – lowering their body temperature so they can train harder, run longer, retain their focus and compete at the highest level.

Aluminium cooling spheres are strategically located on the back, neck and forearms to correspond with the warmest area of the body and cool skin down upon contact.
