PUMA Launches IGNITE Your City Series
IGNITE Film Series Features Epic Runs in Ten Cities Globally
PUMA launched the Ignite Your City film series after unveiling the new-to-market PUMA
IGNITE running shoe a week prior. Ignite Your City features ten global
running crews as they ignite their respective cities by pushing the bounds of
their run while wearing the new PUMA IGNITE.
They do it for the bragging rights, to accomplish their dream run, to
inspire their city’s greater running community and for the joy of pushing their
runs to new heights.
As part of this epic running series featuring the
all-new PUMA IGNITE, Japanese runners marked the first stop with Tokyo. Five runners ran five, 5-kilometer races in
five cities. To demonstrate the maximum
energy return and durability of PUMA IGNITE, they did it all in 24 hours.
Starting in Tokyo, the runners took off to Kyoto, the first stop of their run. After a quick warm-up at the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine in Kyoto, they raced through the city, logging their first 5K before hopping back on the high-speed train.
Next up was the fea fields of Shizouka with Mount Fuji looming in the distance. A race through the cityscapes of Nagoya followed, and their final stop before heading back to Tokyo was the uphill park trails to the castle in Hamamatsu. One last high-speed train ride dropped them back off where they began in Tokyo. Winding through tight streets and trafficked intersections, they made their way to a celebratory finish in Shibuya Crossing.

adidas Unveils New Ultra BOOST Running Shoe
adidas unveils the Ultra Boost, the most technically-advanced running shoe with Boost technology.
This is the first time a Boost product features adidas patented Primeknit upper, which is carefully engineered to provide a precision fit that keeps your foot locked in place while Boost cushioning provides energy return mile after mile. 3,000 energy capsules (vs. 2,500 in adidas energy boosts) give you more energy than ever. The unique outsole design is engineered to adapt to all surfaces and provide an enhanced feel and running experience.
adidas officially unveiled Ultra BOOST at an event in New York with the help of athletes Sammy Watkins, David Villa, Yohan Blake, Wilson Kipsang, Jenn Suhr, Tori Bowie and Ajee Wilson.
A Stretch Web outsole with a perforated, elastic design puts runners closer to the BOOST cushioning, allowing them to maximize the energy-return benefits. A new heel construction comfortably cradles the foot and adjusts to the Achilles tendon’s natural movements. For a customized fit and feel, a new, featherweight sock liner adapts to runners’ individual foot forms. Ultra BOOST also boasts a new dual-density TORSION® SYSTEM, embedded into the shoe’s base. This allows for more independent movements between the heel and forefoot, giving runners superior stability and a smooth, controlled run.

ADIDAS AND NBA UNVEIL 2015 NBA ALL-STAR UNIFORMS
Uniform Design Inspired by the Basketball History and Culture of New York City
adidas, the official on-court apparel provider for the National Basketball Association (NBA), today unveiled the uniforms and apparel for the 64th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 15 in New York City.Designed by adidas, the uniforms pay tribute to New York City’s basketball history and unique boroughs while personifying the city’s legacy as the mecca of sports, music and fashion. The clean, timeless design is inspired by classic sports uniforms and barnstorming basketball teams from the early 20th century.
The jerseys feature a side panel of five stars, each representing New York City’s five boroughs with a unique pattern:
Queens: a pattern inspired by the stainless steel orbit rings of the borough’s iconic Unisphere that was built for the 1964 World’s Fair at Flushing Meadows – Corona Park
Staten Island: a wave pattern to signify its surrounding waters
Manhattan: a taxi-cab checkered pattern represents the pace and energy of the world’s most cosmopolitan city
The Bronx: a vinyl record pattern to pay homage to the birthplace of hip-hop and the rich musical legacy of New York City
Brooklyn: a brick pattern inspired by the iconic brownstone houses and buildings that make up the neighborhoods of the city’s most populous borough
NBA All-Star jerseys ($80 - $110) will be available on NBAStore.com and NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in January.
